You use plastic cups? How un-green of you!

I use plastic cups too, but my biggest sin is that I do not know how to separate the recycling. Last week my girlfriend asked me to bring the recycling out to the road on Wednesday's pick-up day(she usually does this). She handed me a bag full of newspapers, magazines, cardboard, bottles, aluminum, plastic containers and boxes and told me to separate everything into two bags. I told her I didn't know what to do. First, she yelled a little bit, but then she taught me about the "paper & cardboard" and "beverage carton, bottles and cans; metal and foil." NYC.gov/recycle has the complete details for other idiots like me.

I have the canvas bags for shopping and keep forgetting them in my car. Grrrrrrr. I've decided to "penalize" myself by buying them if I forget them. Now I have an eclectic collection in the car and I keep one in the front seat so I have a visual reminder!

Okay - I have to admit, I was going to start buying organic - I picked up some organic produce and did some price comparisons! The carrots I wanted were $3 more than the non-organic ones. I put the organic ones back. The sticker shock was too much!
